Philosophy of Care
Linda has always been fascinated by the human body’s ability to heal through therapeutic energy, touch, movement, and nutrition. This ongoing wonder keeps her deeply engaged in her career as a massage therapist, where she believes in the importance of quality movement and a holistic approach to overall health. Her practice emphasizes treating the fascia, a crucial tissue recently recognized for its impact on wellbeing. Linda’s philosophy integrates advanced techniques and a commitment to understanding each client's unique needs, aiming to enhance their overall health and support their healing journey.
"Healing begins with recognizing the body's innate ability to restore itself. Through touch, movement, and intention, we can unlock the pathways to balance and well-being."
Professional Journey
Linda has dedicated her career to mastering various therapeutic methods to support her clients' health and healing. Over three decades of practice in Richmond, she has pursued numerous post-graduate courses, focusing on fascia treatment—a tissue recently recognized for its significant role in health. Linda began using the Stecco Fascial Manipulation method when it was first introduced in Canada, valuing it for its biomechanical safety and effectiveness. Her continuous pursuit of knowledge and advanced techniques, including CranioSacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation, underscores her commitment to providing the most comprehensive and supportive care.
Personal Journey
Linda discovered Pilates just before graduating from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy and practiced it for 10 years, completing several teacher training modules. This experience deepened her appreciation for the role of movement in health. Her journey as a massage therapist led her to explore advanced techniques, including CranioSacral Therapy, which she studied in 2006 with Tad Wanveer in Toronto, and Visceral Manipulation with Jean-Pierre Barral. These studies broadened her approach, enhancing her ability to work with deep tissues, visceral organs, and even the brain and nerves.
